Never let your wood stove steamer go dry, it may crack.Designed for wood stove inserts this steamer has a small "foot print" The bottom of the steamer is 9" Wide X 4" Deep. Optional ledge trivet is 9 1/2 Long x 4 5/8 inches Wide. Using a trivet under the humidifier will allow the water to gently steam moisture into the air.
